The Financial Aid Office is here to help you! Gallaudet University has a limited number of scholarship funds for international students.
To apply, simply complete the IFAA, Institutional Financial Aid Application on BISON. Follow the steps below:
To be considered for scholarships, IFAA applications must be completed before April 15, 2016. Eligibility is only determined through the IFAA. If you need assistance completing the IFAA, please stop by the Financial Aid Office. We have open doors Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Scholarship amounts are subject to change. The IFAA does not guarantee scholarships for each applicant.
Additionally, the following is a short list of financial resources that students can use to seek funding for their Gallaudet education. Keep in mind that there are many other scholarships and funding sources available, so do not hesitate to research other opportunities for financial support.

International Deaf Education and Advancement (I-DEAF) Fund The fund provides financial assistance to deaf and hard of hearing students from developing countries who are accepted for admission to Gallaudet and demonstrate the need for financial assistance. Preference shall be given to students who plan to obtain a degree from Gallaudet and return to their native countries to assist with the education and advancement of their countries' deaf and hard of hearing citizens.
Number Scholarship Fund The fund supports Chinese undergraduate students who are in need of financial assistance.
Sharon Trout-Atalig Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial support/scholarships with preference given to full-time international and minority students with 3.0 or higher GPA and demonstrated financial need.
Vilas M. Johnson, Jr., '59, International Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial assistance to Gallaudet international students who are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies. Preference is given to those students who meet the following criteria: maintain residency in a developing nation, demonstrate a need for financial aid, demonstrate above-average academic performance by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or above.

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a combination of grants and loans for eligible students from Ontario, Canada, to provide them tuition assistance at Gallaudet. Before OSAP assesses an applicant's eligibility for funding, Gallaudet is required to complete a document providing OSAP information about education-related costs using the Program Information Form (PIF).
This document outlines procedures for the PIF and provides points of contact for assistance with filling out the OSAP application form and subsequent procedures that need to be followed.
Students' Responsibilities:The PIF for the current academic year is available on the OSAP website, https://osap.gov.on.ca/OSAPPortal.

Office of the Registrar's Responsibilities:The Office of the Registrar has been designated as the official entity for handling all PIFs at the University. Student Financial Services will provide an accompanying estimate of the cost of enrolling at Gallaudet for the current academic year.
