Gallaudet University is the world leader in liberal education and career development for deaf and hard of hearing students. The University enjoys an international reputation for its outstanding programs and for the quality of the research it conducts on the history, language, culture, and other topics related to deaf people. Please explore this website which is designed for applicants to Gallaudet University who come from countries other than the United States--from learning English and American Sign Language to pursuing a degree from the University. We have students from 52 countries attending Gallaudet. We also have several international student organizations, including the English Language Institute Student Organization and the International Student Club.
