All room/suite/house selections will be based on individual or group lottery points, depending on the Room Lottery Option you choose.
The higher number of lottery points you have, the better chance you have of selecting the room/suite/house you want.
The formula that our office utilizes to obtain individual student points for the Room Lottery process is:
- Take the total number of cumulative credits student earned as of December 2017
- Transfer students: All transferred credits will be added to the total number of credits earned
- Multiply total number of credits by cumulative GPA as of December 2017
- Subtract Housing Priority Points from your total

HOUSING PRIORITY POINTS
If you have disciplinary sanctions from Residence Life or Student Conduct that include loss of Housing Priority Points from July 1, 2017 to April 12, 2018, then the total amount of points will be deducted from your final number of points calculated by your cumulative GPA and number of credits.
Students who have not participated in the Room Lottery process or missed the application deadline will be placed on the waiting list. The Housing Operations Manager reserves the right to assign students to vacant spaces.
Students who cancel the room assignment AFTER choosing their rooms will automatically be charged the $500.00 cancellation fee.
