NOTE: Students who signed up for the Room Lottery will need to log in their BISON account to select a room/suite. This can be done anywhere the students would like, but not before the students' assigned time slot.

Below is a list of instructions to assist you/your group with completing your Room Lottery online:

(After you receive an e-mail from Residence Life and Housing with your assigned date and time, please follow these instructions.)

  1. Log into your account at bison.gallaudet.edu
  2. Go to Self-Service
  3. Go to View My Lottery Numbers
  4. Click on "Lottery Is Available" under the Lottery Status field
  5. Pick a room/suite
  6. Type in each individual's name and ID number
    • IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GROUP OF 2:
      • Students who will live in the room/suite will choose a room on the list.
    • IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GROUP OF 4:
      • For suites with rooms A and B, please be sure to be CLEAR on who will be assigned to room A and room B in Carlin, Clerc, and LLRH6. Students who will live in room A will choose a room on the list. Students who will live in room B will do the same. Students who live in room A cannot choose a room for students who live in room B and vice versa.
      • For Carlin with rooms A/B/C in a suite, then #1 and #2 is for room A, #3 is for room B, and #4 is for room C. Students who will live in room A will choose a room on the list. Students who will live in room B and C will choose a room individually. Students who live in room A cannot choose a room for students who live in room B or C and vice versa.
  7. Click on "SUBMIT" when you are done.
  8. You are done!

MEAL PLAN SELECTION: You will not need to choose a meal plan during the Room Lottery. The 190 block meal plan will be automatically assigned to you.

NOTE: To view your room assignment and meal plan selection, go to bison.gallaudet.edu/Self-Service/Residence Life/My Contracts and choose the preferred term.

DISCLAIMER

Students who have not participated in the Room Lottery process or missed the application deadline will automatically be placed on the waiting list. Residence Life and Housing reserves the right to assign students to vacant spaces.

Students who cancel the room assignment AFTER receiving their room assignments will automatically be charged the $500.00 cancellation fee.
