The Resident Assistant (RA) is a part-time student paraprofessional position within the Office of Residence Life and Housing, a unit of Student Affairs. The Coordinator of Residence Education (CRE) and Graduate Assistant (GA) supervise the RAs. The RA is responsible for community building, administrating, and participating as a team member.
The RA is responsible for office functions, administrating, and participating as a team member within their residence hall.
The RA is responsible for performing a variety of front desk, clerical, and customer service functions.
The description of duties, which follows, provides a general outline of the responsibilities of the RA. The RA is assigned to one of the University residence halls. Specific duties assigned vary depending on the needs of the residence hall and student population.
