The Office of Residence Life and Housing is pleased to provide housing to students taking undergraduate, graduate, or English Language Institute (ELI) courses at the University during the summer. If you want to live on campus for the summer as a summer school student, this place is for you.
Students who are taking professional studies (PST) courses or participating in a summer program should navigate to Center for Continuing & Online Education for more information on housing options.
Students who are not graduating or participating in the Commencement festivities, but wish to stay during commencement week, must pay room charges up-front in cash, money order, or with a credit/debit card. We cannot bill the room charges to the students' accounts. Students may be re-assigned to a different residence hall/room during commencement week.
Summer room rates for registered Gallaudet undergraduate, graduate, and ELI students are $35.00 per night or $240.00 per week. NOTE: Summer Meal Plans are required for registered students staying on campus. See the Summer Meal Plan section below for more information.
Summer room rates for non-registered Gallaudet undergraduate, graduate, and ELI students staying for internship/employment are $20.00 per night or $140.00 per week.
Non-Gallaudet Interns' room rates are $40 per night or $280 per week.
We reserve the right to relocate residents to another residence hall/room as needed. Daily rate charges will still apply if you are not physically in your room, but left your things behind.
REGISTERED SUMMER STUDENTS: Room charges for summer school period will be billed to the student's account only if the student is a registered student for the summer term.
NON-REGISTERED SUMMER STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS: Any room charges for undergraduate, graduate, and ELI students and Interns who are staying through the summer but are not registered for the summer term must be paid up-front with a payment plan. We cannot bill the room charges to your student account. Failure to make payments up-front will result in a lock change at your expense and daily rate charges will still apply. If you need to change the dates of your arrival or departure, approvals must be received by the Housing Operations Manager at a minimum of one week in advance.
Cash, money order, or credit/debit cards are accepted. No personal checks.
Failure to make payments will result in a negative service indicator in the non-registered Gallaudet student's Bison account, preventing you from completing your business registration for the next term you wish to register for.
SUMMER MEAL PLANS
