Dr. Daniel Koo
Dr. Koo is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Gallaudet University. After receiving his Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester in 2003, he did his post-doctoral fellowship at Georgetown University’s Center for the Study of Learning.
Dr. Koo is interested in how the visual language learning experience of deaf individuals shapes their linguistic representations and processes. His research interests include adult language processing of cued and signed languages, the effect of modality on language processing and cognition, and the acquisition of cued and signed languages.

Dr. Roberto Sánchez
Roberto Sánchez is an Associate Professor of History and Chair in the Department of History, Philosophy, Religion, and Sociology (HPRS) and Program Coordinator of the International Studies Program.
His research and publications have focused on the history of Afro-Peruvians in post-abolition Peru and the African Diaspora and popular religiosity in Peru and Brazil. He has received scholarships/fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Aspen Institute. He has served on the Council on Undergraduate Education (CUE), Faculty Senate, and currently serves on the Faculty Welfare Committee.
