Sioux City Journal' profiles President Hurwitz

Words of Enthusiam from the New President of Gallaudet University

The Sioux City Journal ran an article about President Alan Hurwitz in its December 13 issue. In the article, columnist Tim Gallagher profiled Dr. Hurwitz, a Sioux City native, as he prepared to take the reins at Gallaudet.

“This will be an exciting opportunity for me to lead one of the oldest liberal arts universities in the nation,” the man who delivered the Journal as a youngster told the newspaper, and said he looked forward to seeing Gallaudet “become a premier liberal arts university with strong focus on careers for deaf and hard of hearing people.”
