The Office of Student Success and Academic Quality (SSAQ) strives to strengthen programs and services through the integration of effective student success practices and evidence-based decision-making to fulfill Gallaudet University’s mission and vision. SSAQ is dedicated to providing opportunities and guidance for students, staff, faculty, and administrators to engage as lifelong learners that contribute to their success at the university and in a diverse global society. This is accomplished by providing student success, financial aid, academic, and career guidance; continuous improvement through assessment and data collection and analyses; proper maintenance of academic records, and compliance with federal/state regulations and accreditation standards.
Institutional Effectiveness & Certification (IEC) manages compliance with accreditation, certification and licensure. ACL also coordinates state authorization and assessment offices.
Gallaudet's Student Success programs provide opportunities for students to engage as contributing members of the campus community and to learn the academic and social skills necessary to succeed while at the university and in a diverse global society.
Institutional Research is responsible for reporting university enrollment, employment, and financial information to external audiences. Reports are also generated to the campus community, such as enrollment reports, reports related to strategic planning. In addition, the department administers surveys of faculty and staff and recent alumni. Institutional Research responds to ad hoc requests for data and facilitates training in the use of a data warehouse repository.s
The Office of the Registrar at Gallaudet University strives to make the registration experience as smooth as possible. Services provided to students include course enrollment, student record keeping, transferring credits, grading procedures, academic status, graduation.
The Financial Aid Office is primarily responsible for providing all information, services, and assembling financial resources that are available to and/or needed by students who are attending Gallaudet University in order to obtain an undergraduate or graduate degree.
