All new undergraduate students are required to attend the virtual New Student Orientation (NSO) from Wednesday, January 6 until Friday, January 15.

New Student Orientation (NSO) programs and events for all new undergraduate students will begin on Wednesday, January 6. NSO includes mandatory activities and sessions along with several social events. It is designed around you: helping you to find answers to the questions you may have, and providing information about campus programs, services, and resources.

Our online NSO program is designed to provide you with the guidance you need as a new student; connecting you to your Gallaudet classmates, helping you to find answers to questions you may have, and providing information about campus programs, services, and resources. During NSO, you will have opportunities to meet and engage with your peers and learn about:

  • Your fellow students
  • Your fall semester classes
  • Financial aid books and supplies
  • Student organizations
  • Various campus resources

Peer Leaders: All new students will be assigned to a Peer Leader. Your Peer Leader will be with you for all NSO events and activities and can answer your questions about the Gallaudet Experience.

Visit the NSO website for the most current NSO schedule and other updates. Feel free to contact us at orientation.programs@gallaudet.edu if you have any questions.
