The challenging courses at Gallaudet helped me imagine what the working world would be like. Thanks to the Career Center and the three internships I had before graduation (at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Smithsonian Institution and the Department of Labor), I learned the importance of professional networking. Networking helped me land a job with Merrill Lynch. My advice to current students is to begin your job search while you’re still in college, even as early as your junior year.
