Academics

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the key to unlocking financial aid resources to fund your education goals.

FAFSA determines your federal aid eligibility and allows us to consider you for more scholarship and grant opportunities through Gallaudet.

The U.S. Department of Education takes your and your family’s financial information on the FAFSA and determines your aid eligibility.

Information from the FAFSA allows us to create a unique financial aid package designed around your specific needs.

When you complete the FAFSA, you are automatically considered for most Gallaudet scholarships. For all others, you must complete the Institutional Financial Aid Application (IFAA).

FAFSA takes yearly income changes into account. With the potential ups and downs in income for students or their families, the annual submission of your FAFSA ensures your financial need is calculated based on your most current financial situation.

Funding From Day One

Get the most out of your financial aid from Gallaudet by filling out your FAFSA as soon as you can. You can even fill out the FAFSA as soon as October 1 in your senior year of high school.

Funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis–don’t be late for this one!
