TutorTutorial & Instructional ProgramsJordan Student Academic Center # 1221
Tutors meet regularly with students enrolled in courses or for feedback and self-improvement. They must have superior knowledge of tutor area. It can be for one time appointment or on-going basis.
Job Responsibilities• Assist students with organization, time management and basic academic questions• Capable of providing constructive feedback • Tutor students in a particular subject area• Capable of working independently• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability • Document reports onto Starfish• Take CRLA Level 1/Regular Tutor training within a month of hiring • Participate in meetings/trainings • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Prerequisites for Employment• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher• Good signing and receptive skills • Have ‘B' or higher in grade in course(s) to be tutored
