The English Center helps undergraduate and graduate students in all disciplines to become more confident, resourceful and effective users of English.
We provide free tutoring, writing advice, and instructional support services to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled here at Gallaudet University and elsewhere. We also consult with faculty and staff on literacy issues.
Writing: The English Center supports and provides resources for all writers at Gallaudet University and elsewhere. NOTE: The writing center has moved to HMB W 222.
Reading (ESL): The English Center helps students to enhance their reading skills through the use of the exercises and strategies provided in the external links listed here.
Grammar and Vocabulary: The English Center provides students with help in understanding grammatical rules and strategies as well as enhancing their vocabulary skills.
