For the first time in 13 seasons, Gallaudet is ranked in the Top 25 coaches’ poll run by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The Bison (11-0) are number 24 in the latest USA Today/ESPN Division III Top 25 coaches’ poll released on January 11. For weeks, the Bison have received votes and steadily built momentum until finally breaking into the rankings.

“I am thrilled for Gallaudet University, our department, coaches, and most importantly, our players, who have worked extremely hard and deserve this recognition,” said women’s basketball coach Kevin Cook, now in his fourth season at the helm.

Gallaudet was last ranked in the WBCA coaches’ poll on February 24, 1999 when the Bison were 20-4 and number 17 in the nation.
