International Visiting Scholar Program/International Special Student

The International Visiting Scholar Program (IVSP) is designed for international school personnel, researchers, professionals, and students from other countries who are not pursuing an academic degree at Gallaudet University. The program is individually designed to meet the needs of each scholar, in which participants can audit courses, gain practical experience by being exposed to what is happening at Gallaudet, visit schools, organizations, and agencies. There are great opportunities to do intensive data collection in acquiring specific information and skills relating to deafness. This is a one- or two-semester, non-degree program.  For more information, please visit:

International students who are interested in applying as a special student must apply through the Center for International Programs and Services (CIPS).
