Field experiences are important parts of our professional program. Therefore, assessing strengths and areas for growth is critical. TK20 is our assessment management system that helps us record and understand teacher candidates' growth in the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required by the profession. Teacher candidates, cooperating teachers, and university supervisors complete all performance assessments on-line.
Signing In to TK20
URL: https://gallaudet.tk20.com/
Username: first name initial + full last name + 0000 (all lower case)
Example: John Doe = jdoe0000
Password: same as your username, without the numerals, capitalizing first letters initials
Example: John Doe = JDoe
*NOTE: If you have previously supervised a student, then you may have changed the password. Use that password.
You will be prompted to change your password immediately after you log in for the first time. For additional help, please contact the placement coordinator, Dr. Christina Yuknis. Her contact information can be found in the Introduction to this Handbook.

You'll see that you have two tabs on top: HOME and FIELD EXPERIENCE
HOME
The sidebar tabs are:
- Messages (used to receive and compose messages to any other TK20 user)
- Tasks (this is where you will find tasks that you'll need to complete)
- Preferences (you can change your password and screen appearance)
- Conceptual Framework (find Gallaudet University's Conceptual Framework)
FIELD EXPERIENCE
The sidebar tab is: Assessments Students/Assess - here is where you will find the field experience assessments. It will automatically list current assessments sent to you, with additional information on the student you'll be assessing and the submission deadline. Those which are still open or pending will be flagged for completion.
