Real Time Captioning

CART (Communication Access Real-Time) services can be arranged by submitting a request through the Media Reservation Service - http://media.gallaudet.edu. Click on Class-Meeting Setup and fill in as many fields on the form as possible. Depending on need, CART services may incur a cost. For more information contact Help Desk

How CART Works?

Captioning is done via a conference telephone call and web browser. A person sets up a conference telephone and makes a connection to one of real-time captioning services, (RTCS). RTCS gives the web address, (URL), to this person for use with Internet Explorer. There, viewers will be able to view captioning on web browser on computer monitor or video projector.
