Windows Media Example

Three files are used for this captioning method: a WMV video file streamed from a Windows Media Streaming server; a SMI file containing text and timing information, and an ASX file which "joins" these two files at playback.

Difficulties of FireFox captioning playback may be overcome by installing two things . Windows Media relies on ActiveX script to handle captioning. The follow the two links below for more information.
