Inclement Weather Schedule for HDLC

Late Arrival: When the University declares late arrival, HDLC will open 30 minutes prior to the opening time. For example, if the University declares that it is opening at 10:00 am, the lab will open at 9:30 am.

Early Departure: When the University declares early departure, the HDLC will remain open on full lab schedule.

University is officially closed: When the University is declared closed, the HDLC will open at 10:00 am (Monday-Friday) and will close according to the lab schedule.

eLearning Lab is a staff-supported computer lab for faculty, staff and students interested in learning on how to use current (new) technology and multimedia to improve teaching and learning experiences. eLearning Facilitators provide training and support for development of course materials including interactive presentations, videos, DVDs, web links and documents. They also provide orientation, training, and support on Blackboard, Gallaudet's learning management system (http://my.gallaudet.edu).

What you can do in the eLearning Lab:

Learn and use Microsoft Office
Learn how to use Blackboard (our online learning management system)
Scan and create PDFs
Scan and edit photos and graphics
Create video clips and put online
Create tests and surveys with Respondus
Create interactive PowerPoint presentation with TurningPoint

Customized workshops for classes and departments also are available by request
