Network and Wireless

All Gallaudet buildings and most are equipped with wired and wireless (802.11b/g) access. 

Users who log into the Gallaudet network through the wireless or dormitory network will need to authenticate and pass appropriate security validation checks through Juniper UAC in order to gain access to the network.

Game Consoles

If you have a networked game console and you are having difficulty gaining access to the Gallaudet network, please submit a request to the Help Desk either by E-mail (helpdesk@gallaudet.edu) or by calling (202) 651-5044.

Weak Wireless Signal

If you are in a Gallaudet room with non-existent wireless signal, please submit a request to the Help Desk by E-mail (helpdesk@gallaudet.edu) with the building and room number.  The network team will investigate the area to see if there may be an academic need to install additional wireless coverage in the area.

Wireless SSIDs

There are two SSIDs available to the community.  In most cases, users should join the Gallaudet SSID.  If you are affiliated with Clerc Center, either as a student, staff member, or a teacher then you should join the ClercCenter SSID.
