Bison Perks and Discounts
HEW Federal Credit Union
Employees may become members of the HEW Federal Credit Union by purchasing one share ($5). Savings may be payroll deducted. The Credit Union also offers service for loans and IRAs. A HEW representative will visit the campus every Wednesday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. On the first Wednesday of each month, the HEW Mobile Branch Unit will be available on the College Hall parking lot. On other Wednesdays, the HEW representative will meet with employees in College Hall, Room 106. Please check HEW Federal Credit Union for more information on the Credit Union.
Transit Choice Program
Employees may participate in the Transit Choice Program which will allow them to purchase WMATA transit benefits through pre-tax payroll deductions. The 2012 IRS limit is $125.00 per month. In order to enroll in this program, employees must fill out the election form available at HRS Information & Forms (Intranet) or in the Payroll Office, Room 320.
Working Advantage Employee Discount Program
Employees have exclusive access to the Working Advantage discount network which allows them to save up to 60% on ticketed events and online shopping. To subscribe, employees can access the Working Advantage website to open an individual account. The Gallaudet University ID number is 420698169.
Liberty Mutual Home/Auto Insurance
Employees can receive up to 10% group discount on their car and home insurance through Liberty Mutual. Employees can obtain a free quote by contacting Matthew Turner at (202) 728-1199, Ext 54917 or by visiting the Liberty Mutual website. The Gallaudet University Client number is 8973.
United Buying Service
Employees can purchase a new or used car at a pre-negotiated price through the United Buying Service (UBS). The UBS Official Price Book is available in College Hall, Room 106. Notary Service
The Human Resource Services provide free notary service to the campus community. Employees can send an email to set up an appointment or stop by College Hall, Room 105 or 114A.
Discounted Meals
Employees can use their Staff or Faculty IDs to obtain a 10% discount from the Marketplace and Java Corner. Both cafes are located in the I. King Jordan Student Academic Center (JSAC).
Library
Employees may use their Staff or Faculty IDs to borrow books from the Gallaudet University Library.
Fitness Facilities

Shuttle Bus
