In recognition of the 25th anniversary of Deaf President Now (DPN), President Hurwitz, DPN student leader Greg Hlibok, and DPN alumni leader Fred Weiner appeared on "The Kojo Nnamdi Show," a radio program on WAMU, the Washington, D.C. National Public Radio affiliate.

The show focused on the legacy of DPN and how the movement helped usher in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Senator Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), author of the ADA bill and disability rights activist, participated in the show as well.
