English Placement Tests
Reading
The Degrees of Reading Power (DRP) is a test that measures your ability to process and understand prose material. DRP scores are reported on a readability scale that measures the difficulty of texts by taking into account the proportion of frequently used words, the proportion of short words, and the proportion of short sentences. Because college courses commonly use prose texts such as textbooks, articles, and other works of non-fiction, DRP scores are a reliable predictor of your ability to handle college-level material.
