Short Biography

Christopher Jon Heuer, Ph.D. earned his doctorate from George Mason University in 2010 and is a professor of English at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. He is the author of Bug: Deaf Identity and Internal Revolution and All Your Parts Intact: Poems. His writing has additionally appeared in many anthologies and magazines. He has presented both nationally and internationally on topics ranging from the impact of cybernetic technology on the deaf community to the ways in which hearing parents guide and educate their deaf children. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and son.
