||Capturing Deaf Heritage Day
"Capturing Deaf Heritage Day" combines the opportunity to digitize your historic images and documents while learning about methods of preservation. This free event is hosted by the Center for Deaf Documentary Studies (CDDS) in collaboration with the Gallaudet University Archives and the Office of Alumni Relations. Bring up to 15 photographs or documents, and have them scanned and handed back to you on a free USB drive. Presentation topics include the care and use of photographs, films, and objects, and the cultural importance of personal collections.

The Alumni Emeriti Club is for alumni who attended Gallaudet 50 or more years ago. Alumni from classes up to 1966 will be recognized in a graduation-like ceremony and will receive special medallions.

||Portrait Hanging of President Emeritus T. Alan Hurwitz
The hanging of President Emeritus Hurwitz's portrait which was done by the famed portratist Cedric Egeli, whose father, Bjorn, did Leonard M. Elstad's portrait, is set to take place immediately following the alumni emeriti club induction ceremony. This is traditionally done after a President leaves office once his term ends.
