Gallaudet alums help set a new standard for accessible storytelling at two landmark museums
Gallaudet alumni are making the world more accessible for deaf and hard of hearing people!
This past summer, 2 new museums opened: the Obama Presidential Center Museum in Chicago, and the National Geographic Museum of Exploration in Washington, D.C.
Both museums have video exhibits with ASL signers. Alumni Storm Smith worked with each museum. She led teams with many deaf members including 9 other Gallaudet alums! The teams included signers, ASL coaches, and production assistants.
Great work, everyone!
Redesigned Honors Program fosters a love of learning in students
The Gallaudet Honors Program recently finished an exciting redesign! The redesign includes a new curriculum for students who want an advanced academic challenge. It includes capstone classes, where students do independent research and develop their own project.
Honors students will continue to work closely with our amazing Gallaudet teachers to study, grow, learn, and thrive!
