Visitor Housing

Update as of May 2, 2017:

Unfortunately, due to two residence halls closing for renovation, we are unable to offer Visitor Housing for DC Interns this summer.

Visitor Housing requests will be accepted from May 14, 2017 to August 6, 2017.

We are not able to accept Visitor Housing requests for Fall 2017 semester at this time.

Pending availability, Visitor Housing is available to those who wish to stay in one of our residence halls on Gallaudet University's campus. This option is relatively cheaper than surrounding hotels and provides you the opportunity to experience Gallaudet University's vibrant, rich and diverse culture. Furthermore, residing on campus allows you with the opportunity to be close to your loved ones already residing on or around campus, easily participate in or observe events on or around campus, or give you a taste of what residence hall living is all about.

Please inquire within for our nightly rates.  The one-time fee is $13.00 for each set of linens.

LINENS: A set of linens includes a blanket, pillow, pillowcase, one fitted sheet and one flat sheet, and a large bath towel.

The chart below illustrates our daily rates for the first and second person regardless of room/suite, optional linen rate, and our cancellation policy.

We accept debit/credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), money orders and cash (in person only). If you prefer to pay with a money order or cash, payments must be received prior to retrieving housing assignments. Once we receive your payment, we will be able to move forward with your reservation.

We have a cancellation policy of $25.00 per room/suite. This will be deducted from the balance refunded.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time.

Availability is determined on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once your registration form is received and availability is determined, you will then be contacted with more information. If we do have availability, further instructions regarding payments will be provided.

NOTE: We will only honor requests that are made at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance.

We strive to accommodate those who need special accommodations for medical/disability reasons. Please be sure to inform us what types of needs are needed. This includes, but is not limited to: suites with a bathtub, wheelchair accessibility, shower rails, and lower floors. Once we are aware of any accommodations, we will do our best to ensure they are met.

Our accommodations are much like what you would expect at a hostel; each of our guests will be provided with a twin-XL bed, student desk and chair, a closet/wardrobe, and a dresser. Guests staying in a suite with a private bathroom will be provided toilet paper.

We do not provide other items such as toiletries (e.g., shampoo, soap, lotion), washcloths and hand towels, other personal-care items (e.g., hair dryer, hangers, iron), trashcans, refrigerators, microwaves, alarms/clocks, and the like, so please bring any other additional items you may need during your stay.  TVs are available for use in the lobby areas.

The earliest possible time for check-in is 2 p.m. on the day of your arrival and the latest possible time for check-out is 10 a.m. on the day of your departure.
