Patrick was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. He attended Howard Career Center (now Howard High School of Technology) and centered his studies on all aspects of video and audio production and engineering as well as classical photographic techniques. After briefly attending the University of Delaware, Patrick embarked on a journey of professional development that led him not only to return to the university as a professional production staff employee but also to places such as WMDT TV in Salisbury, MD as a production videographer and to the venerable WHYY TV in Philadelphia as a news, promotion and documentary production videographer and editor. He has honed his talents over the years as a freelance videographer, editor and DVD designer for organizations such as Yale University Press and McGraw-Hill Companies.
Patrick has been part of the Gallaudet community since 1991 and now has the responsibilities of integrating and maintaining new video and audio technologies and helping to design new and better processes for visual communication in the classroom and in the community. He oversees the technical operations of several video production facilities across campus and aids in the operation of the campus cable system.
